Fascinators And Hats At Royal Ascot. Royal Ascot is celebrating its 300th Anniversary this year and as in years gone by many people visit this famous race meeting not just for the races and see members of the Royal Family as they parade down the famous mile in the open top carriages but also it is a time for ladies to show off their fabulous outfits. No outfit would be complete without a fascinator or hat and here are just some examples of the various, sizes and colours of this years creations. Feather fascinators seem to be evidence.
Hilary Alexander, the Daily Telegraph's Fashion Editor was at Royal Ascot today and said that hats were showing the "Kate effect" as gone are the large picture hats that seem to have had their day and definitely in are the smaller ones, particulary the saucer shape ones that are worn on the side of the head. "Less is definitely more".
